There is no such thing as the free market. All markets are manipulated.
Just look at the stock market as an example. The sheep are sheared there every day. But then we digress. The op called for a forum to be established for alternative propulsion.

The pandemic relief and stimulus checks provided to millions of individuals and large and small business is a gov't subsidy along with bailout money for banks and airlines auto manufacturers and also Veterans and social security disability compensation are all subsidies to keep people and the economy going. Almost everything and everyone receives benefits of some form of gov't subsidy for benefit of almost all.
