My Champ 3400 has been awesome for running my 13.5k A/C and other RVing gear. Just a minor blip when the compressor kicks on. I also killed my battery in the first year despite trying hard not to. I now top charge it monthly when in storage and just remember to leave the switch off when I'm not actively using it.

With the Honda 3000 and its dead battery, I had it for a while with #8 short pigtails to the pos and neg for its battery passed through to the outside where I could attach pos and negs from a different battery. I could start the gen with its key same as if it had its own battery.
If you can do that with other electric start gens, then you could set it out with jumpers to the RV's house 12v left hooked up out there and use the wireless start from inside the RV.
If the gen is on the back of the Class C, maybe we can rig jumpers as a sort of permanent set-up from some 12v to back there, so no fear of the little gen battery running down.

Hi BFL13,
I added a positive and negative "post" external to the generator. That way I could use a "boost" box for starting after killing the battery. The first time was my fault, the 2nd time some one else was being "helpful".
The SiO2 was cheaper than an AGM from Canadian Tire.

I was excited when I bought my 3400W remote start. I thought all my problems were solved. I could just press a button, run the AC or microwave, crawl in bed after a good meal, watch TV for awhile, then press a button to turn off the generator and go to sleep.
NOT!
I left the power switch on for one night and the battery was dead as a door nail the next morning. Now I go outside to turn it off and on. The remote dongle lives in a drawer.
Be careful not to drain her chassis battery.

First, the EU3000i will be retired this year. It will be replaced by a new model with 3200W peak power and only slightly larger than the current EU2200i. Electric start will not be available in order to keep the weight and size closer to the EU2200i.
The ultimate in "lazy man" boonbock A/C is a lithium battery bank and an inverter/charger/automatic transfer switch. If your on shore power, everything just works. If the batteries are fully charged, everything will also just work.
Charge the batteries in the AM. If you do this, you can get away with a 2000W generator.
Install a MicroAir EasyStart on the A/C.

I have the Champ 4650 with remote start. Less than a grand shipped. Works very well. Weighs about 100 lbs. I have a couple of seven foot 2 x 8's in the camper that I use to move in and out. I would recommend this unit over the 3000 watt models, since there is a good amount of headroom with little increase in weight.

Maybe get her to accept just electric start.
Interesting about newer gens. Market in transition, stores selling off old before getting new in?
Good point to go higher in watts. Post earlier says 3400 on the edge

I purchased a replacement off Amazon. I can't remember if it matches exactly, but I'm sure I matched physical dimensions, and equaled or exceeded the charging/starting specs. I'm too lazy to go find the info.
I left the original on a small battery maintainer 24/7 and suspect that had something to do with its early demise. Now I just plug it in for 24hrs once a month. So far so good.
