Hoses, not wires....The Heartland we just bought has 3 slides, and this is my first rodeo with hydraulic. As Doug said, the hydraulic lines are plumbed that way....when slide 1 is almost home (either in or out), pressure builds and starts moving slide 2, etc. When retracting the slides they go in the same order, not reverse order. Doug knows the most about this, but I think the only way to change the order is to re-route the hydraulic lines and change the order in which the slides are connected from the pump.

Sounds like it may not be quite as simple as we hoped but that there is a solution.

I found the valves. The next time we open slides, I will close 2 at a time to identify and label. So, at least we can open a particular one.

Retractable Landing gears of older airplanes and war birds are similar. If you've ever watched a landing gear transit it can be anything but smooth sometimes as the gear with the least resistance at the time moves then the other. They also didn't put any bigger of a pump than necessary for weight concerns

Our old Cedar Creek Silverback had 3 slides and 1 switch. BR went out/in 1st, then the Main Street side slide (couch/dinette), then the BH was last. All went in in same order they went out.

Always compromise in the RV world. My 5 cable driven electric slides are certainly not an enginerring marvel. At times I'm dismayed how fragile the system is. However they can each be operated independently.
I believe that hydraulic slides are a more robust system, but not being able to operate or control them independently is a huge negative to me.

Me too, apparatnly changing the order of the hoses won't do anything.
The video I posted was a Grand Design owner that found where the mfr had installed valves in each slideout line, so you can close the valves to all but the one slide you want to operate. Sounds like this solved the problem for the OP, I have to check now and see if I have a similar setup.

This is one reason I will not buy a RV that restricts movement when the slides are in!

I don't think its as simple as that.
Back to the compromise thing.
I agree no blocking slides is the best arrangement.
I have 5 slides. I do not have full access with slides in however I can get to the bathroom and bedroom.
I cannot get to fridge without opening 1 slide. My slide do operate independently of each other.
Having to move all slides to access fridge would be a deal breaker.
Independent slide control is an important feature for me.
With 5 slides full access with slides in is virtually impossible, but decent access to essential areas is something I can live with.
I seldom need to use RV in turtle (all slides in)mode!

One pump feeds two (or more) extension cylinders...the cylinder with the least resistance moves first.
We had this on a 2 slide unit with one button.
Really not a big deal as it only took about a minute for both to be fully extended or retracted.

This thread illustrates a major buyer oversight - The lack of a complete Pre Delivery Inspection - PDI BEFORE you buy. And it is definitely not the dealers PDI. A long checklist of everything and that includes access with the slides in. For me this requires reasonable access at a rest stop where the slides can't be deployed or parking at a house where the street side slides can't be deployed. And most important is to check the emotion part of the purchase and be prepared to walk.
Buy the rig and 2 weeks later do a dealers PDI is asking for unexpected delays (parts available, tech available, etc) and surprises. Insist on an alternative or move on.
This has been posted many times.
