Can anyone tell what the difference is between a Lance 1161 & 1191 camper? Both side entry and dry bath. Thanks

Main difference is a wooden frame in the 1161 vs aluminum in the 1191.
1191 has bigger holding tanks and basement storage.
Get the 1191. I had a 2005 and thought it was a great camper.
Later models increased length to 11’11” from 11’6” and you could get a rear fold tent option.

The 1161 is a 2004 and the 1191 is a 2010. There had been a really nicely setup 1191 for sale near me but it got sold before I could look at it.

Both are heavy campers, what are you planning to haul them with? Should be on a DRW.

1191 is a newer camper, 5" shorter floor, 1" longer and 3" wider externally, about 85lbs heavier in dry weight.
The brochures are readily available online at Lance's website through a quick google search.

Don't for a moment believe the 'dry weight' figures you will find in brochures. Those figures are without appliances, etc.
When loaded to travel, the 1191 will weigh somewhat over 5000 pounds. The 1161 will be somewhat under that by a few hundred pounds.
The last year for the 1161 was 2005 and it is wood framed and has no basement, so the black/grey tanks reside under the overhang out back of the truck and the floor is about 10 inches lower (fewer steps to climb to get in).
The 1191 is an aluminum framed, basement model, with tanks under the whole floor of the camper. The outside roof height is also 10 inches higher than the 1161's so clearance under trees, etc., is less.
