I've seen how Jwrap attaches and it's not out of my comfort zone for DIY. I've done plenty of work on RV's, cars, metal work etc. The estimate came in about $2k and $1500 of that was labor. Jwrap is apparently more expensive to ship than the cost of the material. Less deductible, we got a check today for $1600.
Before I take it to a shop to have the work done, this seems like something I could pretty easily do myself in an afternoon. $500 in materials and I pocket $1k for my labor.
Thoughts? What brand tire ?It can't see in the picture.

Not sure if this question was directed back at me (the OP) but based on the outrigger supports being bent, I took it to a shop to have them do the work. They did mention that it will likely be more than the original estimate but the insurance company is aware and will deal with paying any adjustments.
Yes, it was to you. Have you tried to get a Paint estimate? Did you cash the check? Doug
Yes, I cashed it but I am not doing the work. I took it to a shop to have the work done, all of it. He said the J wrap usually comes painted but they have shop to match paint if it's off or scratched. Insurance company is aware and it's a shop the adjuster deals with all the time. When it's fixed, I pay the amount of the original estimate (my check plus my deductible) , anything extra the adjuster gets the insurance to pay for. I thought that was a clunky way to do it but whatever, the net is - I only pay my $300 deductible. According to the adjuster and the shop, this practice is business as usual. Good thing the RV is usable. Shop said he couldn't even give me an ETA on parts. Could be months.

Well, usually when you CASH the check, you have completed the claim. It will state so on the check. As to the J wrap. The Burgundy will NOT be on the J wrap. The white stripes and Burgundy will HAVE to be painted, UNLESS, the Burgundy is a decal, but that will still have to be ordered and decals are NOT cheap on RV's. Doug

Just going by the instructions the adjuster gave me. Insurance company sent me a check but usually the repair is more and we'll take care of that with an adjustment. His words, and the repair shop confirmed that's how it works. I don't have any burgundy or white stripes on my J wrap. It's just a solid charcoal/brown.

This has not been my experience on multiple damage claims on our house, RV and cars. Hail twice, wind once, lightning once and a deer or two.
Each case was different in how we got there but each time the adjuster handed us a check and then things were settled between the insurance company and the repair shop/contractor at the end of repairs if they differed from the adjusters estimate.
As an added bonus, if we got repairs done for less than the adjuster estimated we were allowed to keep the extra cash.
This appears to be what the OP has also experienced.

Sometimes Insurance Companies will do their own estimate then send you a check for that amount. Then if the Repair Shop finds more damages they will step up.
So IMHO get an estimate of your own to compare to the Ins Companies Estimate. Once confronted with another Estimate they most likely will adjust the amount they pay you. Once I had this happen and the Ins Estimate was accurate except they had $60 per hour labor and the Estimate was $120. They changed their Estimate and sent me a check for the new amount.
