Anyone ever do a dude ranch RV experience? I would love to do something like this where they provide horse riding and outdoor chuck wagon cooking and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation on where to go. I haven't done a deep look into this as yet to see what is out there if anything. If you did something like this how did you like the experience?

I see a lack of responses to your post and that’s too bad because an RV friendly dude ranch stay sounds interesting.

We've included dude ranches in our trips three or four times over the years, but they're never specifically RV resorts. We've asked each time if we could just stay in our RV, but their answers have always been along the line of "do what you want, but you're still paying for lodging and food". So we stay in their beds and eat their food.
I doubt you'll ever find what you're suggesting. It sounds like a blast, but I think it's too specialized to catch on. Plus a lot of dude ranches cater to foreign tourists who aren't RVing. Although this might catch on with the El Monte RV renters you see all over the southwest. Got any capital? You might be on to something?
The closest we've ever come to a specialized RV park was the old North Glamis KOA (I don't think they're a KOA anymore). Their RV park was set up for toy haulers with off road vehicles. You could ride to the trails straight from camp, which was a blast. They had these big concrete cisterns that were fed from the local hot springs and they diverted the runoff before it drained out to Salton Sea. So after a long day of riding, you could plunk down in one of their empty tubs and open the valve to fill it in a few minutes. Open the drain like a bathtub when you're done and it empties out for the next guy. That place was a blast, but it was a long drive to get there from anywhere.

Google rv dude ranch. Or rv dude ranch "state name" if you want a particular state. Don't know anything about any of them, but there are a lot of them.

My sister went to one up in Loveland Co. she said she had a good time cost was about $1600.00 for the week.

Sounds like a blast. Gas is already 10.00 a gallon in Cal and soon to be over $7.00 in Northern NV come July 1st 2022. Up Up and Away. Have fun.

The looking I've done brings up exactly what has been said here already. No real RV full hookup type Dude Ranch stays available. They want you to rent their cabins and have facilities to park your RV while there. Most are all inclusive so It kind of goes against their business concept. I personally think that there is a niche there for this type of RVing and activity combined. Unfortunately, they don't.

The closest we stayed to a dude ranch was a resort on the east side of Mount Hood in Oregon. The place was Indian owned and was called Kahneeta. It had a number of full hookup RV sites, but you could stay in teepees or resort lodging. Other than the two hot spring heated massive pools, Kahneeta offered horseback riding, guided kayak trips down the Warm Springs river, their own golf course,, and a small casino on the hill. Our family loved the place and we stayed once a year for 14 years running. So many memories, but not many dudes out there.
Unfortunately, Kahneeta closed due to mismanagement. The news has reported recently that some new money is being injected in an attempt to reopen. I hope so.
