I went to the Cocoa store over a week ago and could not get a sales person to help me buy an RV. I already knew what I wanted, a 45' tag axle, but nobody was available.
Called the next day, it took 9 days untill I finally got somebody that told me how much was the unit and how much would they give me for my trade in. Well, the offer was ridiculous.
In the meantime I called the store in Spartanburg as they also had a coach I wanted. Every day for a week. Talked to the sales manager the first time, he said he was going to have one of his guys call me. The receptionist every day told me she was going to make sure a sales person was going to call me before the end of the day. And in this store I was not even panning of giving a trade in as I can sell it locally for twice what CW offered me, so I was just a guy trying to buy the biggest size motorhomes they have. NOBODY ever called me back. You see, I have the money, and I am also preapproved by 2 different lenders, with a credit score over 800. Why can't I get a sales person to call me back?
I think I might as well stay with my Alfa...

I would guess because they have to many customers already sitting in front of them.

Some of them did not. And the lots were full, not like they did not have units...

Playing hard to get makes the price go up and the trade go down. It also works for you try it.

It's a complete lack of professionalism and RV sales are just one minor example of the state of the world today. People are making a living doing virtually nothing at their job besides breathing and looking at their phone.

I guess you are all right... I just can't understand. I used to be a salesman. If I had a choice of a customer buying the cheap stuff (let's say a trailer) or one buying the most expensive stuff we had (A 45 feet with a tag axle), why would I choose to ignore the expensive sale????
Playing hard to get might be cool, but I called 2 other dealers and they are calling me non-stop trying to get what I want. This guys have it, but when I went there, they preferred to drink coffee and talk among them rather than talk to me...

Agree, but what I find incredible is that the sales people, that live on commission, are not smart enough to see the difference. I talked to one, I explained him the motorhome he had to sell, and in a nice and polite manner, I told him that I was interested, I just needed the price out the door. The could not even give me that!
