Due to the recent floods FEMA will be buying a lot of campers for the displaced citizens. We can feel their pain.

I've seen some of those FEMA units... Half --sed park models (Residential flusher for example, no holding tanks, no supply tanks) Still would not be a bad choice for some.

Some are actual RVS and some or most are as described. There is the mobile home models also with the AC mounted on the back wall.

FEMA has bought both in the past. Standard RV TT's are usually the first purchases after a disaster since they can be pulled from stock for immediate delivery. The more park like models are usually built under contract and take longer to start deliveries.

Agree with Dutch_12078

Way back when, a couple weeks after Katrina, we went looking for a 5th wheel to replace outr travel trailer. Went to alocal dealer near Mongtomery. walked in and said we wanted to look at some units. They told me they only had 5ers as the FEMA guy came buy that morning and bought all 160 travel trailers.

They said we were free to look at whatever was left (5ers). But no one wanted to help us. They were too busy agruing about how to split the profits.

There were over 100 unused FEMA trailers parked in a field outside of Houston for over a year after Harvey.

Some time later many of them were being sold on Craigslist

If you have lost everything a roof over your head and a warm or cool environment looks like a palace. Some of these trailers are better than what they lost.
