Here's an informative video on the 2.7L Turbo engine the new Colorado and Canyon will have.
It has some pretty impressive numbers.
2009 Silverado 3500HD Dually, D/A, CCLB 4x4 (bought new 8/30/09)
2018 Arctic Fox 992 with an Onan 2500i "quiet" model generator

Yeah, those are screamers!
Afaik, they’re holding up pretty good in the full size trucks so far.
And, at least last year, they were a cheap engine option that didn’t give up much to the 5.3.
2016 Ram 2500, MotorOps.ca EFIlive tuned, 5” turbo back, 6" lift on 37s
2017 Heartland Torque T29 - Sold.

HUH?
The Canyon and Colorado are trucks, not cars.

And PS, we never chose the kid who had the squarebody S10 or the Nissan pickup for road trips. Why? Comfort. That’s where my 70 Impala stepped up. Lotsa ponies and comfortable. Something that got lost in the 70s and 80s. Well the horsepower part anyway…
That's a bonus.
...the guys never seemed to find their wallet when stopping for gas, so much better to be a passenger.
...bench seats and girlfriends just go together. Especially if you teach them how the stick shift works.
With a stick and an empty bed, I could spin the tires even with the low hp but never got into ruining a set of tires over a weekend like an idiot buddy with a Montecarlo SS did.

Lol! Hey I resemble that remark! My second “nice” car was a 86 Monte SS. Drove it while I restored the Impala. That 180hp got to the ground pretty well. Could burn some tires. But the 400 out of my Impala had enough snort to roast the tires and the 200r4!

I hate watching promo videos and the TFL guys blabbering, so cliffs notes?
Is this a new engine and new news, or is it the 2.7 that’s been in the big trucks for a couple years now?
