So I am looking at getting into a fifth wheel coming from a tow behind. On my trailer I have a Hensley and love it. I see that the also have the Trailersaver. Trying to find a good hitch that is easy to use and safe. Anyone use these? Any thoughts? Also looking it seems that a lot of people like the B&W 20K Companion. Any responses would be appreciated.

If your truck is FW prepped for a puck system hitch, B&W makes a model to attach to the underbed pucks. It is a solid easy to use hitch.

Andersen - many advantages - light weight, easy to hook at odd angles and uneven ground.

Which hitch is best? Like asking which truck is best. Everyone has there opinion and favorite. All the name brands are good, B&W, Reese, Curt, Pullrite. Some prefer the air ride hitches. Some prefer the Andersen type. Some prefer a gooseneck adapter like the Goosebox. Just a matter of which appeals to you and which you can get a good deal on.

B&W 20k Companion without a doubt. I got one earlier this year after having several different hitches in the past and it is by far the best hitch I have ever had. It is super heavy duty, easy to use, and has no chucking at all. I honestly wish I had bought one years ago.

Any one have any experience with the Anderson gooseneck ultimate fifth wheel hitch? I saw a couple of articles that claim there was some failures.

I have the Trailersacer BD3 air hitch and would not be without it after having a standard hard mounted hitch. It takes a lot of the bounce that would otherwise be transferred to the truck.

Hensley also had a trade in program for your old hitch.

pullrite SLR Check out the all steel PullRite SLR series 5th wheel hitch at 52 lbs. Uses the same principle as the Andersen hitch.
The Andersen comes in a steel or aluminum version.
Best hitch ?? As one poster says there is no best truck brand.
I would add nor hitch brand for all 5th wheel trailer weights.
