But the point I was making had nothing to do with volatility. The point is that everyday people are being substantially affected by the stock market - not just "High Enders"

The point is that everyday people are being substantially affected by the stock market - not just "High Enders" And my point was that if a 20% drop in the stock market has caused you to make "substantial lifestyle changes" you might want to re-think your retirement plans. These years of nutso low interest have enticed lots of folks into exposure they shouldn't have to worry about in old age. Sorry, we've strayed far from trailer pricing.

Yes of course, I’m sure you can take a 20% hit in your income then top it off with another 9% hit for inflation without a care in the world. Sounds like you are one of those “High Enders”.

Many millions of retired people depend upon their 401K for their income, for the rest of their life. The drop in our 401K means we have to make substantial changes in our lifestyle so that we don't outlive our 401K. And I can assure you, we are not "High End", we are just regular folks trying to enjoy our golden years. The drop is scary and very real for us. I meant the high end of the RV market. Not about your personal wealth.
So if the market drop has you buying a lower end RV that could even boost the low end RV market and again you would have dropped out of the higher end RV market thus affecting the "high end".
For high net worth people I doubt the market fluctuations will affect what RV is chosen. Do these people even go RVing? If the 25% hit to income or assets affects day to day life then not really in the high end of income/wealth.

Think of all the years you gained 15% or 20%.

Funny part is I thought couple of you were internet buddies from the EV threads. But turns out you’ll argue with anyone for any reason….lol.

With these stupid high prices it’s silly to not cash out unless some extenuating circumstances or extreme emotional attachment.
I’ve had $20k offers for the squarebody we redid as well. How often do you get unsolicited offers for a not rare semi restored vehicle that are for more $ than you have into them? Not often. And I’m not a good enough painter to claim it’s a $10k paint job…lol
OK, now you've got me thinking about selling my trailer and boat again....but the divorce lawyer would cost me much more than what I would make off of them!
