Those that have home solar to charge an EV.

Ah guess what, almost all those rich folks with solar panels on their roofs, well they feed into the grid and not the house. They would have to install massive (and $$$$) battery walls in those houses with a massive ($$$$) inverter to power the house from solar. And they do not.

Here's a good place to start: Simple facts.

I'll go ahead with my 2 cents' worth:

1. I don't think EVs are there yet for heavy towing. Going to have to continue with ICE vehicles for a while longer.

2. One concern I have in particular is locating a lightweight EV auto that can be towed four-down. I don't know that it exists yet, but I could be wrong. (For the interim, one can have a four-down towable lightweight auto converted to EV. I've been toying with the idea for my MGB.)

Nope, the chinesuim EVs won’t show up until the western world consumer has no choice and those that can’t vote with dollars are forced to make a decision. Then it will be a grand entrance of the 21st century version of Ching Chong Yugos!

Those simple facts were for 2021 models, which means the numbers are probably from 2 years ago. A nothing burger.

Personally I take issue with tax credits for EV's, or anything else FWIW. If they're so great they can stand on their own merits, no incentives needed at someone else's expense. The government does not generate any money so the credit is payed for by other taxpayers.

PS, I’m all for EVs. He!!, I’d own one if it made financial sense. But the won’t happen until the fee market and not the govt controls.
I’d love to have a Plaid. But my investment would be far more sound on a Hellcat or Redeye. PS I’m looking to buy one, or more before the current movement (no pun intended) makes them rise I value as collectors cars.
