Sounds like you don't like me posting about tow vehicles in a public tow vehicle forum.

That's fine because you are in luck. See the hide button on the right side of the screen? Just click on it and you won't have to see my threads anymore.
Where's the fun in that? You troll for attention and folks don't mind giving back! I wonder if all your EV angst is somehow related to your spouse rearing up and buying an EV against your wishes. Must be tough....

I could post the same about bungee jumping. Some like it, I don't. But why spend the effort broadcasting hate?

Sorry, I can't seem to find the hide button [emoticon]

I could carry that little camper in the garage of my Momentum with room to spare. Might even be able to fit a couple of them in it.

As for nobody is making us choose otherwise... Where have you been?
Entire states are contemplating joining California in outlawing ICEs.Our government is taking actions to purposely drive up the price of fuel while trying to "put the oil companies out of business."(Biden stated exactly that.)

"Nobody is trying to make us choose EVs." Are you dreaming?
I'll wager that by 2035 you won't need to worry about a tow vehicle.[emoticon]

Why do you think that?

The Californian law doesn’t affect pickups over 8500 GVWR. If you prefer a larger RV you’ll still be able to buy a gas or diesel truck to tow it in 2035.
That is what it is so far. The way the wind is blowing, it will just get more restrictive.... And you did not address the rest of my post. Biden flat out said he wants to put the fossil fuel companies out of business. And he is backing that up with his actions. So yes, we will be prevented from buying a gas/diesel shortly... Nobody will produce them if the fuel is not available. The only hope is if a change is made in our govt.

Can’t help you with that. I’m not American and don’t follow the politics. We lived on and off in California for 17 years so am familiar with that area only. Well, that and some military time in Texas, but that was only a few months.

Cheers.

Hunting dog
The chance of current POTUS, CA or WA gov getting rid of fossil fuels anytime soon is a real fat chance. The world as a whole is too dependent on fossil fuels to be rid of them in the next 13 years until 2035.
Heck, both states have been trying to get rid of copper based bottom paint for boats by 2020. Less than 10% of bottom paint is copper free where I work. Yes percentage is getting higher for copper free. Percentages lower in copper. But at the moment, copper is still the best pesticide for salt water use. The options are not safer yet for the environment.
We're probably 2 decades before EVs can claim they've made significant headway. For me, realistically, I may be close to calling driving quits by then. Better to sit back and relax, deal with other issues that frankly effect me more than EVs will.

I figure you are at least mid 60s, climate change denial seems to be most prevalent in elderly males. Anyway, how about a link to Biden saying he wants to put fossil fuel companies out of business. Obviously we all want that eventually but I'd be interested to know what he thinks for a time frame.

Calif is looking to expand to eliminate Diesel Semis by 2040. Still in the writing stage, but don't say never with them.
