We're currently near Lamar, CO. And we will be traveling across southern CO to 4 corners, then over to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, then on to Kingman, AZ.
We like to do a mix of CGs and boondocking. Maybe a dry camp if needed.
We usually sit for a week, then drive 3 hours to the next spot. But all is flexible. Crossing the Navajo Reservation may require a 4 hour drive unless dry camping/boondocking is allowed.
Any suggestions?

The areas south of Williams are Forest Service land and there are many beautiful campsites available.
Here is the camping page for the reservation... https://discovernavajo.com/camping/

I assume you are referring to the lake near Globe, AZ. That is on next year's schedule.

Does anybody know if boondocking or dry camping is allowed on the Navajo Res?
Thinking Kayenta in particular.

Thinking Kayenta in particular. No clue. But they are a sovereign nation subject to their law and courts. Be very cautious.

That's why I'm asking if anybody knows, especially from first hand experience. There is a grocery chain store in Kayenta where dry camping might be allowed.
Indian Casinos allow but it's always best to ask first.

Thanks, mockturtle. Unfortunately for us, there is a 28' limit at both campsites.

The Dine’ have a website that discusses camping on the Res. Instead of “That's why I'm asking if anybody knows,..” review the website. The official information.
