Helping a friend set up his camper and also an extension for towing his boat.
What he has:
1992 Ford F350, Crew Cab, Long Bed, 2WD, 460V8
Draw-Tite 2" Receiver Hitch
2002 S&S Ponderosa 9.5SC
Happijac Tie downs front and rear
The distance from current truck receiver (inside of 2" receiver hole where it bottoms out inside) to rear edge of camper bumper is 36".
I found a 36" hitch extension by Curt but it is for a 2.5" receiver end and then is 2" at ball hitch end. I need one that will enter the 2" hitch truck receiver and then allows for a 2" ball hitch at opposite camper bumper end. I am unable to find an extension with these dimensions.
Is this hitch extension made?
How can this be solved?
What others done with this dilemma?

Spend more money than he was planning.
Unless the trailer is tiny, tiny and super light tongue weight...36" out is massive for 2" only.
Super hitch is where just about everyone ends up...even those of us that weld and fabricate.
'16 F550 CC, 4x4 with Link Ultraride air suspension, '18 AF 1150. Just so we can play with our snowmobiles, dirt bikes and fishing boat. And new 20' tag along...kayaks, bikes, mc's and extra water and food!!

I used to run a 48" extension but that was with a 2.5" receiver. It worked but had a lot of slop. I'd guess it would be worse with a 2". I moved to a Super Hitch and 48" Super Truss. It's a much better solution.
You might as well do it right the furst time. A 36" 2" extension will be unsatisfactory.

Well at least it is a 3500...that is a good start. Almost 99.999% sure you would have to upgrade the hitch first to a class 5 to get that kind of extension length.
I have a Reese...you will find that those long extensions are really heavy just to begin with FYI.

I’m not sure how to say this nicely, so I’ll just say, you shouldn’t help your buddy with this particular project.

Let's start with what he wants to tow. Tongue weight is biggest issue for a receiver with an extension and rear truck axle with already a heavy payload.

We're NOT talking about a '36" extension' here either. Extensions are measured pin hole to pin hole, not overall length.
This is a 9.5' camper on a long bed truck. An 18" extension should be adequate unless this boat trailer has an extremely short tongue. If the tongue goes under the camper a little bit, that's okay. What matters is the boat doesn't hit when you go around the sharpest corner.

Just be aware that the extensions are VERY limited. 350lbs tongue, 3500lbs trailer.
If you want/need more the price is going to go up.
Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

I think the OP said the measurement was from the hitch to the outside of the bumper .

As others have noted a 36 inch 2x2 is a bit heavy. I think you could easily get over the tongue weight limit of the hitch. If I had a 92 truck, I'd buy an upgraded hitch if for no other reason than to get different tiedown mounts.
But, fwiw, my 2.5 extension is less than 24 inches. My ball mount + extension could easily get close to 36 but the extension is a lot less for my 9 1/2 TC.
So I think the question is does he really need a 36 extension?
If the boat is really light, then maybe he could use two 18 inch extensions or similar. I wouldn't personally do it.
Another option is to extend the trailer tongue and let it ride under the TC bumper.
