Couple of those retractor springs? I would be at a commercial hardware store. Take them down and match them up.

Stewarts Service in Elkhart IN is the largest HWH dealer outside of the factory.
Also some HWH parts are sold on Amazon.

Paul Hanser founded and still owns HWH(1967). Since his last name is HANSER, I would suppose part of the HWH logo stands for Hanser. Hanser/??/Hydraulics? Doug

To all those posting about other makers of springs. Can just one of you state you actually purchased the springs from a NON HWH built spring source? Doug

dougrainer,
I can't say I replaced HWH springs but I expect not.
However, the Ford dealership wanted $4500 for replacement springs, and a local spring shop charged me $3000.00.

What springs are you talking about? This thread is about HWH Jack retraction springs. HIGH price is about $125 for a 2 spring set. I can replace all 8 in less than 1 hour. Doug

I can't imagine HWH is being difficult on purpose. I am certain they would love to sell you springs as much as you want to buy them. They, like thousands of other suppliers/businesses, are not enjoying this supply chain crisis any more than you are. In fact it's putting a lot of companies out of business.
Maybe a used rv parts supplier, dealer, repair shop or salvage yard would have what you are looking for.

For heavens sake, you can buy at least one model HWH retraction spring through Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hwh+springs&crid=2EBSSLIGUKZWZ&sprefix=hwh+springs%2Caps%2C156&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
Also through Winnebagoparts.com https://winnebagoparts.com/hwh-leveling-jack-spring-kit/
Internet search engines can find lots of things.https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=HWH+retraction+spring&atb=v343-1&ia=web

If HWH only assigns one person to handle calls then, yes, they are doing it on purpose.
That said, I'm sure they would rather you go through your local dealer - hopefully they can get better results.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

HWH is on Interstate 80 40 miles west of the Quad Cities. Almost ALL of the HWH employees come from the Quad cities as there is NO real town between HWH and the Quad cities. Since the Pandemic and slightly before, HWH has had a hard time getting and keeping employees for the Tech Phone bank and Parts. They have to dedicate almost all available workers to the manufacture of HWH products. Due to the learning curve and Technical knowledge required to operate the Tech phone/e-mail side, they try to have only knowledgeable people take those calls. My Contac for the past 35 years is retiring next spring. He is burnt out, as well as other people on the Phone Bank. You have to understand, the average phone call can last up to an hour and he stated the normal time is over 30 minutes. People call and have no idea what year model they have or what HWH system they have and it takes time for the phone tech to wade thru and slowly get that info. Then the customer wants to know HOW to diagnosis and repair and then wants parts shipped. ALL takes time. Doug
