This net used to be a hot place for information and just meeting up with friends. There has been too many crabby snotty people on here and made it uncomfortable for new people to post. I might get roasted for this, but I dont care! We have a couple of posters on here that are knowledgeable and friendly. On the other hand we have at least one old crabby person who is so snotty it makes you not to want to post. I have experienced both. Even some of the moderators have been much less than they should be. I have ONE chain that I have been following and there are a couple of complainers on that. If you dont like something, DONT READ IT! Can we change this? Can we invite our friends here to a friendly place? Now, just give me a minute to put my body armor on and you can take shots at me. OK, Have at it!

IMO it's the serious nature of the "climate" through which we are presently living......

Can you actually say "crabby snotty people" without getting a suspension or a total ban now a days? [emoticon]

The way people are getting lately just about every thing offends someone. I agree we used to be able to get some good info, but I've noticed fewer new people on her and less older one posting like they used to.

There are other "Social Media" places startin to take over.

Plus there are some folks who love to argue.. I mean they will argue that the sun does not rise in the East like to argue and do their 00000est to convince you it rises in the west just to mess with you. Filtering them out can get.. Tiring. (And yes I may be exaggerating a bit here).

There have been cases where I've looked at a thread.. or walked into a room, where I have very specific and accurate of the topic under discussion.. and Turned round and left. (It does not happen often but sometimes I know I'll not change a single mind for the minds in that room/thread are like Iron Traps left out too long..> RUSTED SHUT). Last time that happened was IRL (in real life) other end of this week.

There are a bunch of brand specific forums now that RV.net used to cover. Now many people visit the brand specific ones, and forego the ones that aren't. From what I've seen, they want to come in, post a questions with few specifics and expect an answer.

And of course everyone is supposed to be so nice and friendly, and be part of this wonderful family. Bah, I'll usually be civil, but cute and cuddly is not what I'm interested in. And I'm not looking for a family, I'm looking for information. There's a few smart a$$es on here that I could live without, on the whole I can ignore them without too much effort. They usually have decent information but suck at not being an a$$hat. Don't know why they feel they have to be offensive, but there ya go.

Young people don't do forums like this and we old folks are likely to be grumpy if we've missed our nap. That said, there a half dozen folks here for no purpose but to bully and troll. Some are not even RVers but they seem to have found a welcoming home here.[emoticon]

And there, You have it. Maybe one or two non grump verse s three or so old crabs. As to young people, they use electronics more than any one else. Why are other social commenting places going like crazy and not here? I am going to shut up because this is not a winning topic. Someday there will be no one here but the crabby commenters who fly under the radar because they phrase their comments craftily. I was hoping If I said something people would recognize themselves And strive to be better, friendly and politer. But be as you will.

"Why are other social commenting places going like crazy and not here?" Even compared to other forums, this one is difficult to navigate. Ever try to post a photo? Young folks like their photos and videos.

There are just too many on here that are quick to blast anyone who post something they don't agree with. We've been RVing/Camping since the mid 70s, grew-up on a Farm where when something broke you fixed it. Have carried that thru with RVs, so I've seen and done that, but I've pretty much given up posting here because to the jerks that seem to hang out here just waiting to blast others. Nuff said
