Heading to Edisto Beach SP, SC and will be there from Wed - Mon. We did this two years ago and it was great. There is a local restaraunt that does a really good take-out Thanksgiving dinner that we pick up Wed and reheat on Thursday. We really didn't have high hopes for it last time but it was REALLY good. Turkey was nice and moist, not dried out. Each item is packaged separately with very specific reheating directions for each item.

We do a get-together with our kids earlier in the month, even if we are in town. We started doing this to remove complications from their lives. It takes us out of the equation that day of figuring out where to go and who to invite. There is enough drama already.

Headed to BIL's just over an hour away. Have a turkey breast to cook so we have "leftovers" here.


I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be Douglas Adams

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.

Tailer winterized and covered. Thanksgiving I will be watching some football. Going to change things up and do a ham and over the weekend I'll cook the turkey and do a turkey soup.

My wife reminded me last night that I “volunteered” to help out with her office potluck today, so I got up early and baked five loaves of bread and made two pounds of butter. Good stuff.

Did you actually make the butter ? I've seen articles about how to do it but, it is to difficult for me .
