Anyone travel rt.301 from the FL/GA state line to SC/NC line tired of I-95 . Thanks for any help

US 301 is generally a good road in GA and SC. We prefer it (and other US highways) to 95 when we're not in a big hurry (which, as retirees, we rarely are). 95 is unpredictable and can be a nightmare. We don't mind seeing the countryside and smaller towns.

301 around Orangeburg is confusing due to the rerouting of the highways thru town. Not a traffic jam like 95 but there is heavy traffic sometimes. We go from Lincolnton Ga cross country in order to get to I-26 toward Charleston.
