Looking at the potential purchase of a MH from Oregon. I’m in NC so obviously quite a distance. The transaction would be completed by a third party company by the name of Klamath RCD trucking. According to them the unit would be delivered to me and I would have 5 days to inspect and accept or to return the unit. Funds would be held in escrow for the 5 days.
Just curious if anyone on the forum has ever used a service of this type and how it turned out.
Comments much appreciated.

That just sounds like a scam.
I'm not saying it is but it sure sounds like one.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Why would anyone pay to deliver a motorhome to you to inspect for a very large cost ( over a thousand ) with no done deal. Common sense says you can and should buy a plane ticket yourself and take a couple days to look at it. On this type of purchase that’s the least you should do. If you can’t do that how do you expect to find time to use said motorhome? Sounds like a scam. Run. There are plenty of local Oregon NW buyers no seller would do what you describe.

Sounds odd enough to make me wary. If I were really interested I'd fly to OR and check it out in person.

How about just NO WAY!
Unless you just have too much money you want to share it with a scammer.

This is a pretty typical scam. Please do not fall for it. The money will be held where and by whom? Why would someone who could sell their RV locally risk having to pay shipping in both directions when you don't like it?
In one case, the RV listed was that of a friend of ours. We talked to them and they were no selling. Someone had just taken some pictures from Facebook.
This is 100% a scam. Run! You are guaranteed to lose whatever money you send.
