It depends on how the tires are used. Obviously, tires that are near their load limit continuously have more stress on them than those that are not.
I've also heard the 6 year number for RVs. As noted, it's worth it to me to replace the tires early, but I also don't go cheap on tires either. So, I'm probably "wasting" money on those better tires, too. ![[emoticon]](http://www.rv.net/sharedcontent/cfb/images/grin.gif "grin")

Sad?
Why would you expect one to age better than the other? Is the rubber more special-er in med duty tires?

I was referring to the same use ( commercial or rv ) between 19.5 and LT tires .
