In the old days, my YJ would tow easily behind the rv. Automatic tranny, all worked great. As I recall, the odometer did not roll when towed like this. Is it the same with later model wranglers?

My YJ, My TJ and My current JK wrangler don't show any towed miles.
Our last TJ wore out a set of tires with only 7k miles on the odometer. It did have 30K being towed.

it is on our '03 Wrangler TJ and also on our '10 Jeep Liberty. both are automatics.

No. No mileage accrual. The electronics are shut down so it won’t record miles.
