Maybe y’all could admit on some level, that gassers are far better on power and efficiency than say 10 years ago, it’s not a brand thing it’s a technology thing.
But regarding gasser hot shots and more Powerstrokes, if they exist, my money is they’re primarily navigating the mountains of FloRida and like areas with extreme elevations of 100s of feet ASL!

Wow, you'd think the hot shotters would be using something other than Ram/Cummins if they're falling apart all along the roadside, but I seem to see just as many as ever. Maybe it isn't as big a deal as the youtubers, desperate for clicks and views, would want us to believe. Just a thought.
They are... seeing less and less Ram's every year now. And you never would see a HD Ram Hemi and now I see them daily. Heck even Ram service trucks are now popular with the Hemi which is unimaginable.
So what part of TX are you hiding??? Oil field independents hauling gooseneck big flatbeds are nearly ALL RAM/Cummins in the greater Midland area. Maybe they don't work them too hard. ![biggrin [emoticon]](http://www.rv.net/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)
The Houston TX area (The oil and gas capital of the US), I10, South Texas and the gulf coast.
By far the Ram's that are on the road are Gen 4 trucks. I think we've known the answer for quite some time now and why, just decided to report it now.
During the 7.3PSD days it was probably 90% Fords and the rest Dodge.
During the 6.0PSD/6.4PSD days it was probably 5% Fords and the rest Dodge.
During the 6.7PSD to current I would estimate 45% Fords and the rest Ram.

Here is some recent discussion about the problem on the HDRam forum. You can read it without joining. Just scroll down. Takes a while to load for some reason.

I noticed it was a Hemi and not a Cummins and I thought that was odd?
What was he hauling?
It was a 3 car/equipment goose neck equipment trailer similar to the one in the U tube video. He was carrying 1 car at the time.

I was hoping IF there was a proven failure per say, it would be a bit sooner in the video as to what and how it occurred.
I wont go as farvas Ron and say there are NO failures of the components... be them factory problem, or neglect etc from the owner of the rig. I've had ALL the above occur with things in my lifetime. I'm also one to ask, what things fail most often, repairs etc and why? Things break down!
Im also not going to spend 20 min listening, or should i say readfing the CC part, with them going in circles either.
At the end, even if the video was about my prefered truck manufacture, the guy failed imho to show where the issue is.

I have not claimed no issues with the 22's. Could be or not I really don't know. If this "problem" does exist I am sure it would be a hot topic on the TDR.
The guy posting the video sure could have shown some proof of the issue with oil analysis or engine tear down pic burt chose to drone on for almost 30 minutes.
