I know this isn't what you asked, but we usually stay at JB Andrews and take the train into downtown from just outside the gate. No hassle or parking issues in town that way.

Can't speak to Belvoir or Andrews but we have stayed at Ft. Meade and found it to be very accessible to the DC area, as well as being a very nice RV park. It has been 10 years since our stay there but you can read my write-up about that stay in our blog when we spent two weeks there in 2012.

I can't speak for the CGs. But if your coming from NJ fort Meade is much easier to get to. Access to DC is doable from both. Fort Belvoir is a bit closer but as a result it's in a more congested traffic area overall.

Thanks accsys. Your blog is very informative. I have stayed at Cherry Hill and am glad you addressed that. My concern was if Meade would be as convenient.
