Is there a limit on how many batteries can be connected in parallel?

No if they are wired in a balanced manor.

Depends on what type of battery - there often can be a limitation on Lithium (LiFePO4) due to the BMS…

No particular limit. I do recommend a separate fuse for each battery with four or more in parallel.
I have two LFP and they each have a fuse before the bus.

Basically the path thru each battery should be as close to identical as possible and each battery should be in the same condition:
- Avoid having major differences in cabling size/lengths between batteries.
- Make sure all connections are clean and solid.
- Make sure all batteries are of the same make and model put into service at the same time and exposed to the same usage.

For a couple of batteries in the same compartment, it's usually not a big deal. If you have one bank at the front and one at the rear of the RV, balancing gets a bit more difficult. Basically, the systems will try to charge and discharge the batteries with the least resistance first.

Electrically no and unless you are drawing like hundreds of amps (more than 100 per battery) balancing is not all that important.

But alas Some yammer it is.. IT's not. (At like 200 amps per battery.... Important)

However your Vehicle had a MAX GVR rating and batteries are HEAVY so the limit is measured not in the number of batterie but in the number of POUNDS and of course square and cubic feet

Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Thanks for the good wishes. I extend the same back to you on this Easter Sunday.

The naysayers about balance have not read and digested this article.

My second bank was 7 125 amp-hour marine batteries which I managed to get 9 years from.

I'm currently using 4 telcom jars. Since I'm no longer full time they meet my needs. I'd love to switch to Li but my climate won't allow that.

If you need a large bank wiring larger AH 6v or 2v batteries in series is simpler. They will charge and discharge evenly. It's hard to get multiple batteries to charge and discharge evenly even when wired properly.
