We use the furnace in our 5'er while pulling it. There are times as when we go to Flordia, we like to pull over and eat, rest or sleep. It is sure nice to get in a warm trailer. We make sure we turn all of the propane off before pulling into fuel up, but that is just common sense, I think! We have had no problems. Good Luck!
