Folks,
We are researching before purchasing a Class A motorhome and would appreciate frank opinions about the Damon Challenger, Forest River Georgetown and/or Four Winds Windsport. Anything good or bad about any of these models would be appreciated. TIA.

The first thing that is wrong with them is they have rubber roofs.

I have a '99 Damon Challenger on '98 P32 Chevrolet
chassis, now has 27000 miles with no major
problems. Did upgrade the front suspension for
better handling. The basement storage does leak,
but I put everything is plastic tubs and hasn't
been a problem for me.

I have a Four Winds Class C and have been very happy. The only thing that has gone wrong in 25K miles is a skylight that the corners warped and leaked...replaced under warranty.
BTW...no problems or issues with the rubber roof.

I have the '99 Windsport on the F chasis. Love it. Pulls my Nissan P/U and we still get a min of 7 mpg. No trouble from the rubber roof, no black streaks either. I fell in love with the floor plan otherwise we would have gotten a better known unit. I had an Airstream trailer before this and am happy with Thor. Good luck with whatever you get.
