Hi folks!
I've been a stranger lately since I made my purchase decision--Wildwood LE Lite 22BH. Sorry 'bout that. As I learn I'll contribute.
It's now built and on the way. I'm going to do the dealer money swap/rundown thing this saturday.
So...any hints on checklists or danger areas I should look out for at this stage? I've read up on this stuff by now. Mainly I'm announcing the new baby. I've found a fellow RVer here who's givng me advice in person.
Planning the shakedown cruise here in NE KS. I'm thinking Perry Lake first, but then I gotta go down to Lake of the Ozarks for the fishin'. hmmm...[emoticon]
I'll be more frequent here, I promise [emoticon]. Ya'll have been a great help.

Congrats GunnDan! We've decided on our Rv too,
but won't have it for another two weeks or so.
I hope your 1st trip is a safe one, and that
you have more fun than is legal.

Good for you!! As a fellow Wildwood owner, I would only advise to take a close look at the finish work.

Also, If you have the bunk house that has a full bed on the bottom and a twin on the top...watch out for that cabinet... The corner on that thing is a killer when you sit up to fast. (I bought a cushion for mine)

Dan,

Congratulations on your new RV! I would suggest you do a detailed walk-thru, maybe even video tape the "show & tell" on how on the systems work such as furnace, water heater to learn about the valves open/close, how to empty tanks, etc.

We purchased our Rockwood 2802 in Dec. 2001. We didn't get to use it until April. We didn't receive a walk-thru that covered everything. The guy at the dealership seemed like he was bored with it. We complained to the owner of the dealership and she had another guy answer our questions when we had to take in for some repairs.

We live southeast of Kansas City, we have been to Hillsdale Lake but we haven't been to Perry Lake yet. I've heard alot of people go to both places.
If you have other recommendations of campgrounds in this region, let me know.

We are headed to Warsaw, Mo this weekend to go camping at a campground close to Truman Lake.

Have fun!
