abort, abort. buzz, buzzz. sirens, bells and whistles.
just kidding. you'll probably want to search the forum(upper right hand corner), there are plenty of responses and opinions on this.
to answer your question. no, i have not stayed there. would if i had to. would feel safe if the area were safe. would exhaust all other possibilities first.

Jeff1014 started a similar WalMart camping topic on November 3, 2003 -- hmmm, almost one year to the day. Currently there are 1,935 replies -- some positive, some negative. Nonetheless, lots of opinions and good information there. Look under "Popular Topics" -- the last post there was less than one hour ago.
And yes, we occasionally overnight at WalMart. ![biggrin [emoticon]](http://www.rv.net/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)

I just received WorkKamper News that had a survey about a number of issues related to RVing.
According to the survey, "Nearly 50% of respondents who own an RV have parked over night in a Wal Mart parking lot. Here is how they rated their experiences: Great 44%, Good 52%, Fair 2%, Poor 0%, Bad 2%."
It looks like a lot of folks do with pretty positive results.
To clarify, I have never camped in a Wal Mart, but there is always the first time.
